First time floater here. Mystic Flow was awesome and I highly recommend them to anyone that wants to float. They are one of the few float spas in the area and the place is immaculate. Everything is very clean and the staff (Rose) were extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
I took a Yoga Class as Mystic Flow Wellness Center last Thursday and it was AMAZING! The teacher has perfected the balance between workout and meditation. I have tried other classes, but this was a whole new experience. I highly recommend Mystic Flow Wellness Center. Walking in to the building, you are met by soothing colors and smells. You can't help but relax when you are there.
I want to let you know that the session made a big difference. This gave me the chance to realign my priorities and think about changing a few things in my life. I also noticed an immediate benefit. I normally have a very busy work schedule on Saturdays - to the point that I am crippled and can barely function on Sundays. This was not the case after the session on Friday. I had so much more energy in every thing I did on Saturday. And today, Sunday, I still feel great. I haven't felt this much energy in years. I am very grateful that I took the opportunity to participate in your session. I will make a point to call today or tomorrow (or by internet) to make another appointment in the next two weeks. This was more valuable than I imagined it would be.
Many thanks to you.
Wishing you the happiness and joy that you have given me!
My husband and I just enjoyed out first ever "float" experience at Mystic Flow! We enjoyed 30 minutes in the sauna together, followed by 60 minutes of floating, in separate pods. It was very relaxing!! My husband had very tight neck/trap muscles that are now relaxed and loose! I enjoyed the peacefulness of the float so much I almost fell asleep! It was a great experience. We'll definitely be back!! Till then, it's time for a nap!
My husband and I went in for the couples sauna and floating. We had aches and pains from work and life stressors. I especially had issues with my left shoulder and lower back pain - all gone. Will definitely be going back. Hubby has been able to have deep good night sleep which he had not had for a while.
I've floated twice and also used the infrared sauna. I'm in love. I wanted to share with you a little about myself. I have suffered from Fibromyalgia for 19 years, chronic daily migraine headaches, inter cranial hypertension, the list goes on and on. I've read about floating for Fibromyalgia for years but couldn't find a place to go. Once you opened and I took part in my first float, I knew all the studies were correct. I've never, in 19 years, felt such a huge improvement in my overall health, lasting DAYS! I'm totally sold.
Very welcoming and comfortable spa. Nicely decorated. Very clean. Extremely friendly staff. The co-owner Derek spent a lot of time after our float session asking for our feedback. Truly genuine and personable guy.
I am not the same person I was before I visited Mystic Flow Wellness Center. That woman had a bit of anxiety, a ball of stress, and various aches and pains. This woman is relaxed, centered, and the only thing I'm anxious about is how soon I can schedule my next float.
I purchased the living social deal for me and my husband which included 30 minutes in the infrared sauna followed by 60 minutes each in the float tanks.
I wasn't looking forward to it. I couldn't imagine staying in an enclosed pod for 60 minutes. Be still, and do nothing for 60 minutes? Impossible! Or so I thought...
When we arrived, we were warmly greeted and asked to fill out some paperwork. The front room has that intoxicating spa smell, and was full of crystals, Himalayan salt lamps, amethyst water, etc. After the paperwork we were given a full tour of the facilities as well as a detailed explanation of the sauna and the float procedures which includes showering before and after, optional light, optional music, clothing is not optional (you float nude), and an option to have the lid open or closed. The shower along with shampoo, conditioner, and soap are located in the same room as the tank along with towels, robes, and spa shoes.
After enjoying the sauna, it was time for the float tank. All I can say is that it was absolutely the most pleasant, relaxing experience I've ever had. Sixty minutes went by easily, and I was perfectly comfortable in the pod with the lid closed, and lights out. You control the music and lights with big, easy to work buttons. I enjoyed the vibrations of the ambient music in the water, so I left the music on the whole time The lid doesn't lock, so you can easily lift it at any time, or leave it up the whole time, if you have issues with claustrophobia. The water is not deep, but you are completely buoyant because of the salt.
I am not great at meditation, but the tank makes it easy to clear your mind, and enter a deep state of relaxation. The feeling of total weightlessness is a unique experience both physically and mentally.
As far as the spa facilities--the staff was very friendly, and informative and the spa is clean, and welcoming. There is a lounge you can use before and after services. I'm looking forward to trying one of their massages before my next float. I may be too relaxed to drive home!
I can't wait for my next visit, and I am so glad I talked myself into trying something new! :)
Loved it!! Nervous at first but felt so relaxed after (and for a few days). My husband and daughter both floated for their first time and my husband was surprised how great he felt days after. Our daughter is a track athlete and 3 days after she floated she broke her PR in hurdles!!! I am a believer of floating and will be back!!
This place is great - my husband and I had a couples massage and it was great! Everyone that works there is so nice. We both plan on returning to try out all the other services that they offer!
I don't want to go on and on, so I'll list a few interesting facts from my experiences after a 90-minute float:
1. Before the session, I could only raise my left arm about 1 foot higher than my shoulder. I can now raise it above my head with no pain (I have a spinal stenosis which affects that arm during flare-ups).
2. Upon entering the tank, the skin on my back felt very tingly, almost--but not quite--uncomfortable. The salt level is so high, make sure you don't have any cuts or scrapes, the only thing I can think of is I occasionally rub my back against a doorway if I get an itch, not unlike a bear.
3. In 90 minutes, the first 20-30 were spent fighting the quiet and the stillness. I was trying to relax and I think that slowed down the process. After that, I somehow let go and the rest of the time felt like a flash.
4. The spa and the staff were lovely. They explained everything very well and the process is very simple to understand.
If you're considering a float session, just do it. There's no way to know if it will help you until you try. This is truly different than anything you can even imagine. If you like floating in the ocean when you go to the beach, you'll love this.
Beautiful ambiance, attentive customer service upon arrival, luxurious towels and robes, modern equipment, etc.
